چکیده

If a causative virus can be demonstrated in mesenchymatous fowl tumors, either in those originating spontaneously4 or induced by chemical carcinogens,3 and if at least two other viruses are the probable causes of two epithelial tumors, one in the frog (R. pipsens)2 and the other in the Triton (7. alpestris),' it would obviously be interesting to ascertain whether viruses could be demonstrated in chemically induced tumors in amphibia. Unfortunately, despite many attempts, no such tumors have been induced. However, some points of a minor interest have been brought to light and the description of such findings is the object of the present note.t

Studies in the U.S.S.R. on the distribution, circulation, and fate of carcinogenic hydrocarbons in the human environment and the role of their deposition in tissues in carcinogenesis: a review.

The role of the retention of carcinogenic hydrocarbons in tis sues in earcinogenesis was demonstrated. Possible contamination of food with carcinogenic hydrocarbons is discussed and the measures for its prevention are planned. Much attention was given to the study of the exhaust gases of cars and to the preven tion of their carcinogenic action. The distribution of benz(a)pyrene in human environ...

Artificial Neural Network Involved in the Action of Optimum Mixed Refrigerant (Domestic Refrigerator) (TECHNICAL NOTE)

This analysis principally focuses on the implementation of Radial basis function (RBF) and back propagation (BPA) algorithms for training artificial neural network (ANN) to get the optimum mixture of Hydro fluorocarbon (HFC) and organic compound (Hydrocarbons) for obtaining higher coefficient of Performances (COPs). The thermodynamical properties of mixed refrigerants are observed using REFPROP...

On the Mechanism of Action of Carcinogenic Substances*

In the study of cancer one of the central problems is the elucidation of the pathogenesis of malignant tumors. The direction taken by such studies varies in accordance with prevailing points of view on the etiology of cancer. Since the discovery of carcinogenic compounds by Cook, Kennaway, and others ( i , 7), the theory of a chemical etiology of malignant tumors has been advanced. According to...

Health risk assessment of heavy metals, BTEX and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the workplace in a secondary oil re-refining factory

The present study aimed to evaluate the health risk of heavy metals (iron, zinc, cadmium, arsenic, nickel, lead, and mercury), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the workplace in a secondary oil re-refining factory. In this descriptive, cross-sectional study, samples were collected and analyzed using the NIOSH 1501 method at eight sa...
